Laura Bobrowski

Laura Bobrowski (MA, LPCC) received her Graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio. She has worked with a variety of populations, including adults, teenagers, and couples. In her work with clients, she has provided care for people who have depression, anxiety, panic, bipolar, PTSD, trauma, abuse, grief and bereavement, caregiver burnout, and relationship difficulties. Laura completed training in EMDR therapy with the Institute of Creative Mindfulness and utilizes this approach to address trauma across the lifespan. Laura seeks to create a supportive environment where she empowers clients to achieve their maximum wellness.

Julie Gable

Julie Gable

Julie Gable (MA, LPC) received her Master’s degree from John Carroll University and is licensed in the state of Ohio. Julie’s passion is watching individuals and couples form and restore healthy relationships. She believes in empowering her clients to heal and healthfully process emotional crises in life and recognize their own abilities to realize their best self. She desires to provide her clients with the ability to acknowledge a more peaceful future and embrace the process of reaching it.

Julie utilizes a client-centered trauma informed approach with her clients, recognizing the impact of trauma in every facet of our beings and our personal stories. She has worked with an array of populations including children, adolescents, and adults. Julie works with couples struggling to improve their relationships and develop a renewal of connection. Julie utilizes CBT, DBT, and person-centered approaches to treat depression, anxiety, transitional struggles, and grief.

She views her client relationships as a collaborative journey and recognizes her clients bring impactful self-knowledge to the table in treatment. She continues to strive to be a life-long learner of best mental health practices to facilitate healing for her clients.

KELSIE GALE

Kelsie Gale (LSW) completed her master’s degree in social work at The Ohio State University. She has a background in community behavioral health, prevention services and has specialties in ADHD and trauma assessment. Kelsie works with young adults by supporting them with crisis intervention, interpersonal relationships, coping strategies, cognitive distortions,and trauma exposure. Her main focus involves working to provide a safe, judgement-free zone while encouraging her client’s self-determination. Much of her work is centered around a “whole-person”, strengths-based perspective. Kelsie believes it is a privilege to care for others during their most vulnerable moments, by providing support that serves as a bridge toward an individual's well-being. Her training in play and sand tray therapy offer a welcoming environment for all of her clients. Kelsie works as our referral coordinator as well as outpatient therapist.

MARY LYNN NEWSOME

Mary Lynn Newsome (LSW) is a Licensed Social Worker with 18 years of experience in the field. She earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Ursuline College. Mary Lynn has worked primarily with adults addressing end of lifecare and providing anticipatory grief support to patients and families. Understanding that feelings of loss and bereavement can apply to many situations - death and dying, family estrangements, loss of relationships, job loss, life transitions - she is skilled in helping individuals navigate complex family dynamics, trauma, anxiety, fear, depression, and PTSD. She is able to integrate faith-based support tailored to diverse client needs. She draws from solution focused and strength based approaches with an emphasis on mindfulness and self empowerment. Managing stress, resolving conflict, and focusing on personal development are part of the therapeutic goals she uses with her clients. Believing strongly that healing and growth are possible for everyone, her empathic and compassionate approach leaves clients feeling empowered, safe and balanced while enhancing inner peace and focusing on health and well being.

ALLISON PARKS

Allison Parks, LSW, is a Licensed Social Worker with a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Case Western Reserve University, where she focused on mental health and trauma-informed practice. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Dayton (Go Flyers!).

Allison is passionate about walking alongside adolescents and adults through seasons of transition, emotional challenges, and relational struggles. She supports each individual with a holistic view of wellness that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit. When invited by the client, she is honored to incorporate Christian faith into the therapeutic process, trusting in God’s ability to bring healing in each person’s story. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and enriched by creative interventions, narrative therapy, and wellness-based strategies that promote meaning-making and personal growth. She is also trained in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), which helps guide developmentally informed, brain-based support for individuals impacted by trauma. With warmth and compassion, Allison creates a safe and welcoming space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. She considers it a privilege to support others in building resilience, deepening self-awareness, and discovering the hope and purpose woven into their journey.

EMILY NEUHOFS

Emily Neuhofs (CT) is a clinical intern pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University. She currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. She has extensive experience working with children and families, providing trauma-informed care as a Child/Youth Treatment Specialist, and fostering creativity and growth with young kids. She is passionate about creating a safe, empathetic space where children and families feel supported in navigating life’s challenges. She utilizes a person-centered, compassionate approach to help clients build resilience, heal, and thrive.

MARY HASSEBROCK

Mary Hassebrock (CT, CTRS) is a graduate student at John Carroll University pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy from Central Michigan University and has experience working with children in various settings. Mary brings a unique perspective to the therapeutic relationship and integrates play based and art techniques with her younger clients. Her sense of humor allows her clients to connect with her easily and helps them to feel comfortable as they work to manage challenging circumstances.Her experience has shown her the impact of recreation and play on children’s development and emotional well-being. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, solving escape rooms, and spending quality time with loved ones. She is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment to help clients on their journey toward growth and healing.

MIKAYLA HURST

Mikayla Hurst (LPC June 2025) She earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University and has experience providing individual and group counseling in community mental health and hospital settings. Mikayla works with adults of all ages, supporting them through a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, life transitions, and everyday stressors. Mikayla believes counseling is a collaborative process between client and counselor and operates from a person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed perspective, creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered. She also takes an integrative approach, combining modalities like CBT and DBT with mindfulness and somatic strategies, addressing the whole person and fostering holistic healing and growth.

Mia Nannicola

Mia Nannicola, LSW, earned her Master of Social Work from Case Western Reserve University with a specialization in child and adolescent mental health and trauma-informed care. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Business from John Carroll University.

Mia works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem issues, and trauma. She integrates a variety of evidence-based approaches, tailoring each session to the client’s unique needs and meeting them where they are in their healing journey.

Grounded in a holistic perspective, Mia recognizes the vital mind-body connection in mental health. Her experience co-leading a social skills group for adolescent girls has deepened her appreciation for the power of connection and skill-building in fostering self-confidence and personal growth. When desired, she can also incorporate faith-based counseling into her work.

Mia’s down-to-earth, genuine presence creates a warm and supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their emotions, build insight, and grow into their most authentic selves.

SAVANAH INSANA

Savanah Insana (SWT) is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work degree at Case Western Reserve University. She focuses on supporting adults who have experienced trauma, specifically survivors of sexual violence and domestic violence. She first began working with this population as an advocate at Townhall II in Kent. She later interned at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center where she provided psychoeducation, coping skills, and resources to her clients based on their specialized treatment. In her practice, Savanah values creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment that allows clients to lead sessions and identify their own goals and needs.

ALEXIS TAYLOR

Alexis Taylor (LPC) is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton. She works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, supporting clients through a wide range of challenges including anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship concerns, grief, and life transitions. Alexis takes a person-centered and holistic approach, integrating mindfulness-based strategies to help clients feel grounded and empowered. She believes therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, with the client being the expert of their own experience. She strives to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their experiences openly. Alexis values the belief that every decision and life experience can be understood within the context of our humanity, and she works alongside clients to uncover meaning, foster healing, and build resilience.

BENJAMIN HAMMS

Benjamin Hamms (LPC) Benjamin is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment built on trust, where clients feel heard and understood. With a collaborative approach, Benjamin helps individuals explore their experiences, discover their strengths, and develop the skills needed to take charge of their lives. Drawing from experience working with Mood Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, Addiction, Trauma, and Personality Disorders, Benjamin provides compassionate guidance tailored to each person’s unique story. At the heart of Benjamin’s counseling philosophy is the belief that healing begins with understanding. While the journey can sometimes feel overwhelming, Benjamin strives to make it one rooted in empathy, safety, and growth.

Allie Loparo (SWT) is a clinical intern at Anchor Counseling, currently pursuing her Master's of Social Work degree from Cleveland State University. She has a background in working with children and families in complex situations and is deeply committed to helping them overcome their struggles. Allie is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space for individuals who need someone to talk to about life's challenges. Understanding that reaching out for help can be difficult, Allie deeply respects the courage that it takes to take that first step. Whether you are an individual seeking support or a parent looking for guidance, she is here to offer compassionate support, listen without judgement, and help you navigate your challenges with care as well as understanding.

Dr. Janet fetzer

Dr. Janet Fetzer (Jeni) (PhD, LPCC-S)  holds a Doctorate in Counseling and Psychological Studies with a concentration in Trauma and Crisis Counseling. She completed her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has worked with a variety of populations including adolescents, adults, and families in both individual and group settings. In her work with adolescents, she has provided care for children and teens who report issues regarding suicide, depression, anxiety, family concerns, and behavior issues. Jeni has training in both art and play therapy and specializes in the unique needs that children and adolescents face. She utilizes a strength-based approach with each individual to help them achieve their goals toward wellness. Jeni is known for her ability to use humor as a therapeutic tool, while having the ability to honor her client’s trauma and difficult experiences. Jeni completed her training in EMDR therapy and utilizes this approach to address trauma in clients as young as 3 years old through adulthood. She is a licensed professional clinical counselor-supervisor in the state of Ohio and owns the private practice.

Meredith Berdysz

Meredith Berdysz earned her master’s degree in Clinician Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. She is client-centered, letting individuals be the driver in their own therapy, and is particularly drawn to attachment-based, solution-focused therapies, and cognitive behavioral techniques. Meredith assists clients in exploring how they can use their support system, mindfulness, and newly learned skills to live the kind of life they envision for themselves. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and guides clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths. She creates the space to safely process, without judgement, and nurtures the client to have the courage for healing. Meredith has experience working with adults, college students and children with trauma and other various mental health diagnoses. Meredith is also fluent in American Sign Language.

JOSHUA PIPOLY

Joshua Pipoly (MA, LPC) obtained his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. As a graduate student, Joshua interned at Cornerstone of Hope from January 2019 through December of the same year. While an intern, he facilitated groups, worked at the summer camp, and worked with bereaved individuals in individual sessions. He has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. When working with clients, he strives to maintain a therapeutic, safe environment and assist clients in developing new skills and strategies.

KAYLA FACEY

Kayla Facey (LPC) is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Child Development from Florida State University and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Kayla is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming space where clients feel safe to be open and vulnerable. With a genuine passion for empowering others, she supports individuals as they navigate life’s challenges. Kayla specializes in working with teens and young adults facing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. In addition, Kayla offers faith-based counseling tailored to each client’s unique needs and beliefs, helping to support holistic healing and personal growth.

BRIONNA BANKS

Brionna Banks (MSW, LSW) is a Licensed Social Worker with 8 years experience in the field. I hold a Master's of Arts in Social Work from Wright State University/ Miami University. I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children addressing mental health challenges in various capacities. I specialize in depression, crisis intervention, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal relationships, anger management, PTSD, and grief and loss. I offer both in-person and virtual individual counseling services. I have training in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and Mental Health First Aid. I seek to create a partnership with clients that fosters healing and hope.

HANNAH VOSS

Hannah Voss ( LPC, ATR-P) received her Masters in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline college in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults in both one on one and in group settings. In her past experience working with clients she has provided care for those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidality, and other mental health concerns. Hannah is a registered art therapist and is also trained in EMDR Therapy. She likes to work from a person centered approach and utilizes IFS and Parts Work to help clients understand themselves and their own empowerment and healing. Hannah is able to incorporate faith based support and values the role spirituality plays in healing.

DEVANIQUE GRUBB

Devanique Grubb (LSW) is a Licensed Social Worker committed to helping individuals learn how to navigate life through their own lens. She believes in meeting clients where they are at to help support them on where they want to go. She has worked with clients who experience depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy. Together we can work to identify how each puzzle piece fits in your life to create the big picture.

TRACY COLLIER

Tracy Collier, LSW (she/her) is a licensed social worker with a dedicated focus on helping adult women, female-identifying and gender non-conforming individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. She specializes in working with those who are dealing with issues of identity and empowerment, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem, family dynamics, life transitions, and aging.

Understanding that therapy can feel intimidating, Tracy strives to create a safe and affirming space for her clients where they can show up as their full, authentic selves and know they will be supported. Her diverse therapeutic style blends cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior skills training and mindfulness with a feminist, trauma-informed lens. Whether you're exploring your voice, setting boundaries, or simply trying to reconnect with yourself, Tracy is here to walk with you on your journey towards healing and growth. In addition to Ohio, Tracy has previously lived in California, New York and Colorado, affording her the opportunity to serve a variety of people with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring the metroparks, cheering on the Cleveland Guardians, caring for her many houseplants and playing with her two cats.

DEBBIE STURM

Debbie Sturm (PhD, LPC-C) is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte's Counselor Education program and is licensed in Ohio and Virginia. She has nearly 20 years’ experience working with children, youth, adults, and families. Her clinical specialties include trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and family issues. She believes that so much of our lives, including our pain and our healing, occurs through relationships and therefore is attentive to attachment, self-compassion, and connection. She utilizes child-centered play therapy, family systems therapy, and trauma-informed practices to support growth and healing across the lifespan. She also values our relationship with nature for self-care and well-being.

TAYLOR RAWLEY

Taylor Rawley (MA, CT) obtained her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. As a graduate student, Taylor interned at OhioGuidestone from August 2024 through May of 2025. Taylor has, worked in community based mental health services which has allowed her to care for the most vulnerable populations throughout her career. She is experienced in providing psychotherapy and therapeutic behavioral services to individuals with anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Taylor has experience working with families, school services, adolescents, and young adults. She utilizes person centered, trauma informed care, DBT, and mindfulness counseling. Her goal is to create a safe and inclusive space for individuals from all backgrounds to explore their thoughts and feelings. She is passionate about helping individuals build emotional regulation and coping skills . Taylor’s personal passions include art, animals, and yoga.

LISA FRIEND

Lisa Friend (MSW, LISW-S) Lisa Friend is a Licensed Independent Social Worker, who has been practicing since 2011. She graduated from Cleveland State University with a Master's degree in Social Work. Lisa believes in treating all patients with dignity and respect as she assists them with developing the tools they need to be successful in managing their mental health needs. Lisa has experience in trauma informed treatment as well as most mental health diagnoses. Her main areas of focus include individual, couple and family therapy as well as substance use disorder. Lisa is trained in EMDR therapy. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys baking and spending time with her grandsons. Lisa provides clinical supervision for our Licensed Social Workers as well as several of our interns.

NATALIE HINEY

Natalie Hiney (SWT) graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2021 with bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology. As a postgraduate, she spent a year teaching English to elementary and middle school students in a rural community of Nagasaki, Japan through the Japanese Exchange Teaching (JET) Programme. Working with the children and families in such a tight-knit community inspired her transition from education towards becoming a mental health professional. Having returned to the U.S., Natalie is now completing her master’s in social work specializing in mental health with children and adolescents at CWRU’s Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. Her work as a trainee embraces a cross-cultural perspective when assessing and treating the children of our ever-evolving Northeast Ohio community. Natalie has experience counseling children with various behavioral health diagnoses, particularly ADHD, GAD, and ODD, in the school setting. She hopes to continue supporting her clients in building self awareness, developing effective communication skills, and strengthening their resilience through healthy coping strategies.

JENNIFER MARTINO

Jennifer Martino (LSW) When you take that first step to begin therapy with Jennifer, you will be met with a safe, judgment-free space, genuine empathy, and her full commitment to supporting you throughout your journey. She believes every individual has their own unique experiences and challenges. Her goal is to work alongside you to understand your personal goals for therapy and support you in achieving them through a collaborative and compassionate approach.She works extensively with people experiencing eating disorders, negative body image, depression, anxiety, trauma, academic issues and school behaviors, low self-esteem, and self-harming behaviors, medical trauma, LGBTQIA+ related issues, sports specific anxiety and performance issues, sexual perpetrators and victims, bullying and peer and sibling conflict as well as grief issues.When Jennifer is not working she is an international figure skating competitor traveling the world as well as spending time with her 3 cats.

SHAYNA ROGOFSKY

Shayna Rogofsky (SWT) graduated from Towson University in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Shayna is now completing her dual master's program with a Master's in Social Work specializing in Mental Health with children and adolescents and a Master's in Nonprofit Organizations at CWRU's Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. Her work as a trainee embodies a trauma-informed, person-centered, and cross-cultural approach. Shayna has previous experience with case management at a transitional housing shelter for families. Being able to help multiple clients navigate the process of obtaining housing and address barriers that would make housing inaccessible. She utilizes a trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally sensitive approach in her work with clients.
