Tony Apolczer

Tony Apolczer (MA, LPC) received his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Tony moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2017 to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Trevecca. Tony was drawn to the counseling field because of the positive experiences he has had pursuing this work as a client himself. He is passionate about mental health, self-care, and helping his clients become the very best version of themselves. He is also an avid musician and sees the value of having an outlet for creativity and self-expression. Tony seeks to provide a compassionate, empathetic environment for individuals from all walks of life. He utilizes a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment interventions to facilitate healing and help clients achieve therapeutic goals.

Meredith Berdysz

Meredith Berdysz earned her master’s degree in Clinician Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. She is client-centered, letting individuals be the driver in their own therapy, and is particularly drawn to attachment-based, solution-focused therapies, and cognitive behavioral techniques. Meredith assists clients in exploring how they can use their support system, mindfulness, and newly learned skills to live the kind of life they envision for themselves. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and guides clients to increase self-awareness, gain new perspectives, decrease symptoms, and increase personal strengths. She creates the space to safely process, without judgement, and nurtures the client to have the courage for healing. Meredith has experience working with adults, college students and children with trauma and other various mental health diagnoses. Meredith is also fluent in American Sign Language.

Laura Bobrowski

Laura Bobrowski (MA, LPC) received her Graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio. She has worked with a variety of populations, including adults, teenagers, and couples. In her work with clients, she has provided care for people who have depression, anxiety, panic, bipolar, PTSD, trauma, abuse, grief and bereavement, caregiver burnout, and relationship difficulties. Laura completed training in EMDR therapy with the Institute of Creative Mindfulness and utilizes this approach to address trauma across the lifespan. Laura seeks to create a supportive environment where she empowers clients to achieve their maximum wellness.

Kate Satler

Kate Satler (CT) is a clinical intern at Anchor while she pursues her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at John Carroll University. Kate has been working at The Emily Program supporting clients with disordered eating as well as utilizing CBT, DBT, and trauma interventions. Kate is dynamic in her approach and care with clients, is grounded in her ability to connect with others, and compassionate in her support of the healing process. Kate believes all individuals deserve an opportunity to learn about and gain the therapeutic tools needed to grow and flourish.

Julie Gable

Julie Gable

Julie Gable (MA, LPC) received her Master’s degree from John Carroll University and is licensed in the state of Ohio. Julie’s passion is watching individuals and couples form and restore healthy relationships. She believes in empowering her clients to heal and healthfully process emotional crises in life and recognize their own abilities to realize their best self. She desires to provide her clients with the ability to acknowledge a more peaceful future and embrace the process of reaching it.

Julie utilizes a client-centered trauma informed approach with her clients, recognizing the impact of trauma in every facet of our beings and our personal stories. She has worked with an array of populations including children, adolescents, and adults. Julie works with couples struggling to improve their relationships and develop a renewal of connection. Julie utilizes CBT, DBT, and person-centered approaches to treat depression, anxiety, transitional struggles, and grief.

She views her client relationships as a collaborative journey and recognizes her clients bring impactful self-knowledge to the table in treatment. She continues to strive to be a life-long learner of best mental health practices to facilitate healing for her clients.

Jamahl Jones (MSW, LSW) As a licensed social worker, helping others thrive in society is my ultimate goal. I currently specialize in helping young people, but open to all ages. I help people meet their targeted goals and deal with their trauma. I specialize in working with early childhood clients and adolescents dealing with trauma, grief, and depression. My approach is to listen to and understand what your current issues at hand are, so that we can cooperatively empower you to resolve them. I also work collaboratively to create goals that will help you become your best self. I want to rid the stigma around receiving mental health services in the African American community, and give these benefits to this community through therapeutic services.

KARMEN TORRES

Karmen Torres (SWT, CDCA) is a graduate of Cleveland State University with a B.A in Psychology and Criminology, where she graduated Cum Laude in May of 2022. She has a background in case management and coordinating care in a community mental health setting. She has also served in various supervisory roles during her career. She is currently working toward her Master’s at Cleveland State University. Karmen is client focused, collaborative and attentive in monitoring clients for changes in clinical symptoms, treatment side effects or complications. Her primary work has been with adults and the geriatric population and her kind demeanor helps her to provide supportive care to all clients she is privileged to work with at Anchor.

KELSIE GALE

Kelsie Gale is a clinical intern and currently pursuing her master’s degree in social work at The Ohio State University. She has a background in community behavioral health, prevention services and discharge planning in a hospital setting. Kelsie works with young adults by supporting them with crisis intervention, interpersonal relationships, coping strategies, cognitive distortions,and trauma exposure. Her main focus involves working to provide a safe, judgement-free zone while encouraging her client’s self-determination. Much of her work is centered around a “whole-person”, strengths-based perspective. Kelsie believes it is a privilege to care for others during their most vulnerable moments, by providing support that serves as a bridge toward an individual's well-being.

MARY LYNN NEWSOME

Mary Lynn Newsome (LSW) is a Licensed Social Worker with 18 years of experience in the field. She earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Ursuline College. Mary Lynn has worked primarily with adults addressing end of lifecare and providing anticipatory grief support to patients and families. Understanding that feelings of loss and bereavement can apply to many situations - death and dying, family estrangements, loss of relationships, job loss, life transitions - she is skilled in helping individuals navigate complex family dynamics, trauma, anxiety, fear, depression, and PTSD. She is able to integrate faith-based support tailored to diverse client needs. She draws from solution focused and strength based approaches with an emphasis on mindfulness and self empowerment. Managing stress, resolving conflict, and focusing on personal development are part of the therapeutic goals she uses with her clients. Believing strongly that healing and growth are possible for everyone, her empathic and compassionate approach leaves clients feeling empowered, safe and balanced while enhancing inner peace and focusing on health and well being.

Janet fetzer

Janet (Jeni) Fetzer (MA, LPCC-S) received her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. She has worked with a variety of populations including adolescents, adults, and families in both individual and group settings. In her work with adolescents, she has provided care for children and teens who report issues regarding suicide, depression, anxiety, family concerns, and behavior issues. Jeni has training in both art and play therapy and specializes in the unique needs that children and adolescents face. She utilizes a strength-based approach with each individual to help them achieve their goals toward wellness. Jeni is known for her ability to use humor as a therapeutic tool, while having the ability to honor her client’s trauma and difficult experiences. Jeni completed her training in EMDR therapy with the Institute of Creative Mindfulness and utilizes this approach to address trauma in clients as young as 3 years old through adulthood. She is has completed specialized training in using EMDR with children and adolescents and is a licensed professional clinical counselor-supervisor in the state of Ohio and owns the private practice.

JOSHUA PIPOLY

Joshua Pipoly (MA, LPC) obtained his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. As a graduate student, Joshua interned at Cornerstone of Hope from January 2019 through December of the same year. While an intern, he facilitated groups, worked at the summer camp, and worked with bereaved individuals in individual sessions. He has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. When working with clients, he strives to maintain a therapeutic, safe environment and assist clients in developing new skills and strategies.

KAYLA GREEN

Kayla Green (CT) Kayla earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Child Development from Florida State University. She is currently working towards her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Kayla believes in creating a warm and inviting space where clients feel comfortable with being vulnerable. She has a true heart and passion for empowering individuals in navigating life’s difficulties. She is passionate about working with those who are experiencing and navigating through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Kayla is able to provide faith based counseling that is tailored to client needs.

JASON DECKER

Jason Decker (CT) is a clinical intern at Anchor while he pursues his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Wake Forest University. He provides counseling for adults and teenagers, helping them with a wide array of issues including depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, grief, relationships, emotional regulation, and self-harm. Jason also works at The Emily Program supporting clients with disordered eating. He believes that every individual has the innate capacity for growth and change and he is passionate about walking with clients on their journey. His therapeutic approach is informed by well-established clinical theories, including DBT, Internal Family Systems, CBT, and Polyvagal Theory – all of which rest on the foundation of a warm and caring relationship.

BRIONNA BANKS

Brionna Banks (MSW, LSW) is a Licensed Social Worker with 8 years experience in the field. I hold a Master's of Arts in Social Work from Wright State University/ Miami University. I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children addressing mental health challenges in various capacities. I specialize in depression, crisis intervention, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal relationships, anger management, PTSD, and grief and loss. I offer both in-person and virtual individual counseling services. I have training in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and Mental Health First Aid. I seek to create a partnership with clients that fosters healing and hope.

HANNAH VOSS

Hannah Voss ( LPC, ATR-P) received her Masters in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline college in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults in both one on one and in group settings. In her past experience working with clients she has provided care for those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidality, and other mental health concerns. Hannah is a registered art therapist and is also trained in EMDR Therapy. She likes to work from a person centered approach and utilizes IFS and Parts Work to help clients understand themselves and their own empowerment and healing. Hannah is able to incorporate faith based support and values the role spirituality plays in healing.
