Janet fetzer

Janet (Jeni) Fetzer (MA, LPCC-S) received her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. She has worked with a variety of populations including adolescents, adults, and families in both individual and group settings. In her work with adolescents, she has provided care for children and teens who report issues regarding suicide, depression, anxiety, family concerns, and behavior issues. Jeni has training in both art and play therapy and specializes in the unique needs that children and adolescents face. She utilizes a strength-based approach with each individual to help them achieve their goals toward wellness. Jeni is known for her ability to use humor as a therapeutic tool, while having the ability to honor her client’s trauma and difficult experiences. Jeni completed her training in EMDR therapy with the Institute of Creative Mindfulness and utilizes this approach to address trauma in clients as young as 3 years old through adulthood. She is has completed specialized training in using EMDR with children and adolescents and is a licensed professional clinical counselor-supervisor in the state of Ohio and owns the private practice.

Haley Burke

Haley Burke (MA, LPC) received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cleveland State University in 2021. She began working with Anchor Counseling in 2018 as an intern and has developed into a successful and empathic therapist. Haley specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults using strength-based approaches with different modalities that best support each individual. In her work with clients, she has provided care for those with anxiety disorders, panic disorders, trauma, depression, family concerns, and behavioral issues. Haley is trained in play therapy and sand tray therapy and utilizes art interventions in her work with clients. Haley understands that each individual is unique and deserves support that is tailored to their needs. She develops specialized treatment plans to fit the goals of each client while also providing a supportive, comfortable, and welcoming space for all clients. Haley is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Ohio and the Practice Manager at the Westerville Ohio location.

JOSHUA PIPOLY

Joshua Pipoly (MA, LPC) obtained his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. As a graduate student, Joshua interned at Cornerstone of Hope from January 2019 through December of the same year. While an intern, he facilitated groups, worked at the summer camp, and worked with bereaved individuals in individual sessions. He has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. When working with clients, he strives to maintain a therapeutic, safe environment and assist clients in developing new skills and strategies.

Kate Satler

Kate Satler (CT) is a clinical intern at Anchor while she pursues her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at John Carroll University. Kate has been working at The Emily Program supporting clients with disordered eating as well as utilizing CBT, DBT, and trauma interventions. Kate is dynamic in her approach and care with clients, is grounded in her ability to connect with others, and compassionate in her support of the healing process. Kate believes all individuals deserve an opportunity to learn about and gain the therapeutic tools needed to grow and flourish.

KAYLA GREEN

Kayla Green (CT) Kayla earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Child Development from Florida State University. She is currently working towards her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Kayla believes in creating a warm and inviting space where clients feel comfortable with being vulnerable. She has a true heart and passion for empowering individuals in navigating life’s difficulties. She is passionate about working with those who are experiencing and navigating through anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Kayla is able to provide faith based counseling that is tailored to client needs.

JASON DECKER

Jason Decker (CT) is a clinical intern at Anchor while he pursues his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Wake Forest University. He provides counseling for adults and teenagers, helping them with a wide array of issues including depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, grief, relationships, emotional regulation, and self-harm. Jason also works at The Emily Program supporting clients with disordered eating. He believes that every individual has the innate capacity for growth and change and he is passionate about walking with clients on their journey. His therapeutic approach is informed by well-established clinical theories, including DBT, Internal Family Systems, CBT, and Polyvagal Theory – all of which rest on the foundation of a warm and caring relationship.


Lena Lois Detchoua

Lena Lois Detchoua (CT) earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She is pursuing her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University. She is currently working in ABA therapy using ABA techniques to allow clients to develop communication skills and improve behavior. Her interests include working with adolescents and children through play therapy along with CBT and person-centered approaches to find the best possible way to support the individual. She believes it is important to work toward allowing therapy to be accessible to everyone and is driven to change the negative stigma behind accessing counseling, especially in the African American community.

HANNAH VOSS

Hannah Voss ( LPC, ATR-P) received her Masters in Counseling and Art Therapy from Ursuline college in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She has worked with children, adolescents and adults in both one on one and in group settings. In her past experience working with clients she has provided care for those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidality, and other mental health concerns. Hannah is a registered art therapist and is also trained in EMDR Therapy. She likes to work from a person centered approach and utilizes IFS and Parts Work to help clients understand themselves and their own empowerment and healing. Hannah is able to incorporate faith based support and values the role spirituality plays in healing.

Tony Apolczer (MA, LPC) received his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Tony moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2017 to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Trevecca. Tony was drawn to the counseling field because of the positive experiences he has had pursuing this work as a client himself. He is passionate about mental health, self-care, and helping his clients become the very best version of themselves. He is also an avid musician and sees the value of having an outlet for creativity and self-expression. Tony seeks to provide a compassionate, empathetic environment for individuals from all walks of life. He utilizes a variety of evidence-based and trauma-informed treatment interventions to facilitate healing and help clients achieve therapeutic goals.

Laura Bobrowski

Laura Bobrowski (MA, LPC) received her Graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio. She has worked with a variety of populations including adults, teenagers, and couples. In her work with clients, she has provided care for people who have depression, anxiety, panic, bipolar, PTSD, trauma, abuse, grief and bereavement, caregiver burnout, and relationship difficulties. Laura completed training in EMDR therapy with the Institute of Creative Mindfulness and utilizes this approach to address trauma across the lifespan. Laura seeks to create a supportive environment where she empowers clients to achieve their maximum wellness.

Lizzy Lohnes

Lizzy Lohnes (LSW) graduated in 2022 from Miami University with a bachelor's degree in social work. Lizzy is currently completing her master's in social work at Ohio State university, with her area of focus being child and youth services. Her interests include working with children and adolescents, where she utilizes play-based interventions and a strength-based approach to meet the needs of each individual client. Lizzy has prior experience working with adolescents who report issues regarding anxiety, depression, suicide, bullying, family issues and behavioral issues. Lizzy’s compassionate approach to working with others enables her to provide a comfortable and safe environment for all of her clients.

Jamahl Jones (MSW, LSW) As a licensed social worker, helping others thrive in society is my ultimate goal. I currently specialize in helping young people, but open to all ages. I help people meet their targeted goals and deal with their trauma. I specialize in working with early childhood clients and adolescents dealing with trauma, grief, and depression. My approach is to listen to and understand what your current issues at hand are, so that we can cooperatively empower you to resolve them. I also work collaboratively to create goals that will help you become your best self. I want to rid the stigma around receiving mental health services in the African American community, and give these benefits to this community through therapeutic services.

COURTNEY WALKER

Courtney Walker (CT) Courtney is a clinical intern pursuing her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at John Carroll University. Courtney takes a person centered, eclectic approach with clients and works with each individual to find what approach is best suited for them. Courtney has experience using elements of CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, ACT, and ERP. Courtney became a counselor because she believes everyone deserves to have a safe, non-judgmental space to process through life’s many challenges and to feel empowered in gaining new skills and tools to help them grow. Courtney utilizes evidenced based practices along with empathy, humor, and curiosity to create a warm and welcoming therapeutic environment.

KARMEN TORRES

Karmen Torres (SWT, CDCA) is a graduate of Cleveland State University with a B.A in Psychology and Criminology, where she graduated Cum Laude in May of 2022. She has a background in case management and coordinating care in a community mental health setting. She has also served in various supervisory roles during her career. She is currently working toward her Master’s at Cleveland State University. Karmen is client focused, collaborative and attentive in monitoring clients for changes in clinical symptoms, treatment side effects or complications. Her primary work has been with adults and the geriatric population and her kind demeanor helps her to provide supportive care to all clients she is privileged to work with at Anchor.

BRIONNA BANKS

Brionna Banks (MSW, LSW) is a Licensed Social Worker with 8 years experience in the field. I hold a Master's of Arts in Social Work from Wright State University/ Miami University. I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children addressing mental health challenges in various capacities. I specialize in depression, crisis intervention, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal relationships, anger management, PTSD, and grief and loss. I offer both in-person and virtual individual counseling services. I have training in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and Mental Health First Aid. I seek to create a partnership with clients that fosters healing and hope.

hallie davis

Hallie Davis (CT) is a clinical intern at Anchor, while pursuing her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at John Carroll University. Hallie believes that anybody can benefit from counseling, and encourages clients to allow themselves to be open and vulnerable. Hallie has a background of working with children and her goal is to create an atmosphere of acceptance, empathy, and compassion to best connect with clients. She strives to maintain a supportive environment and help clients grow in their therapeutic goals. Hallie’s natural warmth provides connection for her clients and can make the intimidating experience of beginning counseling, an easier transition.

Mia Nannicola

Mia Nannicola (SWT) is a clinical intern pursuing her Masters of Social Work at Case Western Reserve University with a concentration in child and adolescent mental health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Business from John Carroll University. Mia’s interests include supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through anxiety, depression, relationship stressors, emotional dysregulation, and various life transitions. She has experience co-leading a social skills group for adolescent girls and will be leading a self-esteem group with teenage girls.She utilizes evidence-based practice techniques when working with clients while maintaining a holistic mindset. Mia’s approaches focus on strengths-based, client-centered, trauma informed, and solution focused brief therapy. Her down to earth and genuine nature encourages a warm and safe relationship that allows for growth, true expression of self, and identity development.
